Digital signage is a way of electronically displaying information on a screen. They can be found in public spaces, transportation systems, museums, stadiums, retail stores, hotels, restaurants, and corporate buildings etc., to provide wayfinding, exhibitions, marketing, and outdoor advertising.

Content Formats

For all campuses, please use the following content formats:

File Type: .png or .jpg
Size: 1920x1080 pixels
Resolution: 72 or 96 dots/pixels per inch (DPI/PPI)
File Type: .mp4
Size: 720p or 1080p
Codec: H.264

Campus Playlists

Each campus has a playlist that is included with local content playlists. To view your campus playlist, please use the preview link below. For any questions about the content in your campus playlist, please contact your campus digital sign content coordinator (see the next section below).

Campus Listserv Email Format

Each individual college, department, or unit is responsible for their own playlist and may have their own rules and guidelines for what they display and for how long. It is up to their discretion what they include in their playlist. To ask others to display your content, the first step is to upload it to a publicly accessible location, such as the UNL Content Library in Box for the Lincoln campus. If you do not have access or have any questions about where to place your content, please contact:

Once your content is uploaded, share your content folder and copy the Share Link. Please send an email to your campus users listserv using the format below:
