Trade-In Program

Trade-In Program

Take advantage of our trade-in program to upgrade your tech! Trade in your old or current devices for an immediate credit towards a new purchase in the store.

Getting Started

What products can I trade in at the Huskertech store in the City Union?

  • You can bring in your used smartphones, tablets, iPods, Mac laptops & desktops, and an array of other devices. Browse the entire list of eligible brands and devices by visiting the trade-in home page, where you can start your order and view credit estimates.
  • What happens once I bring my device into the store?

  • One of our customer service representatives will assess the condition of your device and enter it into the trade-in website. You will receive an immediate credit toward the purchase of a new product or a credit towards your cellular phone bill if you have your service through the University.
  • What happens to my device after it is processed for a trade-in?

  • The device will be erased by a Huskertech representative before it is sent to Encore. Encore will then re-use your device for parts, or repair, and refurbish for re-sale. All products that contain re-writable storage media processed by Encore Repair Services will have any and all user data deleted, such that it cannot be recovered by or accessed by any future users. The process to destroy user data will vary by product and will be incorporated in a comprehensive test procedure that is developed to functionally test and where applicable, erase all data. The erasure process used is compliant with NIST 800-88 specifications.
  • What happens with the credit I receive?

  • The credit will be applied to a purchase made in the store at the time of trade-in. This includes the purchase of a new phone if you have phone service through Verizon or Sprint through the University. Credits can also be applied to your cellular phone bill if the trade-in is not done at the time of a new phone purchase.
