UNL Proofpoint Changes, August 5

Proofpoint is the University’s email security service that helps protect faculty and staff from email threats by securing suspect inbound and outbound email.

Starting on Saturday, August 5, 2017, ITS is consolidating systems, and you will receive a new Proofpoint daily digest with the University of Nebraska logo. As we make this change, you may receive duplicate Proofpoint digests on Saturday morning during the transition.

All functionality remains the same**. Quarantined messages may still be released via the daily digest or via the web portal.  The updated Proofpoint digest functionality remains active for two weeks from the original date of the digest email.

The current changes to our Proofpoint service ultimately allow the University to consolidate expenses while still providing superior security.

**UNCA users will only be able to manage their quarrantined mail through the digest and will no longer have access to the Proofpoint website.
