All students in the College of Architecture’s Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Interior Design programs are required to have ready access to a laptop computer that meets or exceeds the specifications listed above in the Computer and Software Requirements document. Students can choose between a PC or Mac platform. This laptop computer is an integral tool in architectural education.

All students in the Software Engineering Program are required to have ready access to a laptop computer that meets or exceeds the specifications listed above for use in the classroom and for homework throughout their course of study. Students can choose between a Windows or Mac platform. Due to software limitations, tablet devices, e.g., iPad, mobile phones and netbook computers, e.g., Chromebooks, are not permitted for classroom use.

A Mac or an iPad is required for 1st and 2nd year Theory courses, which are delivered by iBook.

If your college or area of study is not listed above, there are no enforced laptop policies or requirements that have been provided to us. Although there are no requirements, we do recommend minimum specifications of a 128GB hard drive or solid state drive, 8GB of RAM or memory, and an i5 processor. All laptops we carry have these minimum recommended laptop specifications.
